CNC-IT Make The Scene In Hollywood

Byfleet based, CNC and laser cutting specialists, CNC-IT have moved to Rudgwick near Horsham in West Sussex/Surrey borders only 30 mins from their previous location.
CNC-IT arrived in Hollywood tearing up the streets and rooftops of Gotham City as the latest Batman movie, 'Batman Begins', which hit town last July. As prop suppliers to the movie industry, CNC-IT has made bespoke scenery for the latest Warner Bros blockbuster, much of which was filmed locally at Shepperton Studio’s.
The task was to create realistic tailor-made items at a fraction of the weight and cost of the real thing. The order included essential parts for the dashboard of the awesome new Batmobile the ‘tumbler’, plus intricate railings, doors and window frames, plus parts for the subway train and greenhouse to name a few, all used in numerous scenes throughout the film.
Each piece was precision made, using a state of the art Cad/Cam computer controlled CNC manufacturing system which ensures highest possible accuracy and eliminates any problems with subsequent fitting on set.

Using our sophisticated equipment we are able to produce precision one off items which you just can’t buy off the shelf and on time, that’s exactly what the studio wanted. The order included some very complex pieces with lots of very detailed fret work but the technology we use ensures 100% accuracy and means everything fits like a glove. Everyone loves the batman films and so it was an absolute pleasure to work on this order.”
