Lighthouse ‘One Minute Wonders’ Screenings For Digital Shorts Scheme

Lighthouse is presenting ‘One Minute Wonders’ - seven animated ultra-shorts from the South East produced by Final Cut for the UK Film Council’s innovative Digital Shorts Scheme.
Screenings will be held on Saturday, November 18 at the Duke of York’s cinema, Preston Circus, Brighton
at 2pm (doors open 1.45pm)
 After-party: 4pm at Circus Circus (over the road from the Duke of York’s.)
One Minute Wonders is an animation production scheme run by Final Cut in association with Lighthouse. The scheme commissioned seven animators to produce seven ultra-shorts. The animators were given training and production support by both Lighthouse and Final Cut.
Post-production facilities were provided by Brighton TV. Completed only a few days before the screening, this will be the first time these films have been shown to the public.
The One Minute Wonder scheme was funded by Screen South, Arts Council South East, and Awards for All.
The films will be shown on Saturday 18th November at the Duke of York’s Cinema along with an exciting programme of the very best of UK animated shorts. There will be a free ‘meet the animators’ party after the screening at Circus Circus with a guest DJ, film-themed VJ sets and all the sausage rolls you can eat.
