Ian Benson Joins The Agency
Producer Ian Benson has joined The Agency to be its dedicated director agent working with new and established directors in television and film.
Benson’s most recent credit is Debbie Isitt’s 'Confetti', which he produced with Wasted Talent’s Ian Flooks. The film was sold to Fox Searchlight during Cannes 2005.
“Having worked as a producer for a number of years I’m excited at the prospect of being able to focus on this aspect of the business and work with talent I admire and can champion,” said Benson.
Formed in 1995, The Agency represents writers for film, television, radio and the theatre. It also represents directors and film and television rights in books. The list ranges from major established talent to the new and upcoming in all those areas.
The Agency comprises partners Stephen Durbridge, Leah Schmidt, Julia Kreitman, Bethan Evans Anna Cameron and Norman North. Agents Katie Haines, Nick Quinn, Faye Webber, Hilary Delamere and Fay Davies are also with the company.
