AVC Media Enterprises Announce Double Appointment

Aberdeen-based AVC Media Enterprises has announced the appointments of Spencer Buchan and Lesley Little to the company’s Board of Directors.
In the midst of AVC’s 30th anniversary year, the appointments of Buchan and Little come as the company celebrates its most successful financial year to date with profits already exceeding total income from the previous year by 25%.
Buchan and Little have been with AVC for over 10 years between them. Lesley currently heads up AVC’s Sports Division while Spencer is the company’s Media Production and Commercial Manager. Both will continue to fulfil these roles but as Directors will also be involved in the overall strategic decision making for AVC.
Already a market leader in corporate communication solutions in the North East of Scotland, AVC continues to grow adding two divisions to its portfolio of services this year. The most recent addition is AVC Training, the company’s 10th division, which focuses on specialist training across all industry sectors – with a specific interest in the oil and gas industry providing courses and training to overcome the skills gap that currently affects the energy sector.
With the additions of AVC Training and AVC Fairweather Advertising earlier this year, AVC Training the company has grown significantly since the beginning of the year. The focus for AVC is to continue with the same momentum and build on the company’s skills and expertise.
As such, AVC is embarking on a recruitment drive, the aim being to increase the current staff of 66 by a further 30% in the next six months in order to meet growing demand for the company’s services.
Keith Main, Chairman of AVC Media commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Lesley and Spencer to the board. Their appointments are a reflection of how well the company is doing now while also looking forward to developing our skills and services for the future.
“We want to drive the businesses forward in the same vein that we have done for the last 30 years and become the leading provider of cutting edge corporate communications solutions in the UK.”
AVC Media Enterprises operates from its global headquarters in Altens, Aberdeen where it’s ten divisions include Audiovisual Hire, Audiovisual Sales, Event Management and purpose built Conference and Management Centre.
