Golden Square Finishes Work On New London Congestion Charge Film

Golden Square has recently completed five fully animated information sequences for Transport for London detailing the forthcoming changes to the capital’s Congestion Charge.
Directed by Stephen Allen, the 10-second spots show colourful cartoon cars and simplified maps of London while a voiceover explains the new Congestion Charge laws.
Allen, having previously worked closely with Creative Directors Yan Elliot and Luke Williamson, came up with the style, the look and the storyboards that were then animated at Golden Square over a three-month period. Allen as good as moved into Golden Square during this time and worked closely with Jasper Kidd and Matt Stephens to build and animate the five sequences using After Effects.
Ewan MacLeod, Executive Producer and co-founder at Golden Square, commented: “It was great to have Stephen working so closely with us at Golden Square to direct our design team. The project looks great and demonstrates the wide range of work that we are capable of working on in our design department.”
Golden Square Post Production was founded in 1999 by Phil Gillies, Ewan MacLeod, Alan Young, Brian Stephens and Harry Jarman.
