Sumners Expands Audio Suite In Manchester

Post-production facility Sumners has expanded its audio dubbing capability with the creation of a new state of the art audio dubbing suite at their Manchester facility.
Sumners’ commitment to enhancing their audio dubbing offering has also seen the recruitment of Richard Lee from ITV Yorkshire, where he held the post of Senior Dubbing Mixer.
Lee has extensive experience in drama, documentary and entertainment including 'Heartbeat', 'The Chase', 'Fat Friends', 'Bodies', 'McIntyre’s Big Sting', 'Two Fat Ladies' and 'Emmerdale'.
Sumners’ new audio dubbing suite represents a significant investment by the Facilities House, and includes an additional ProTools Icon based installation together with fully equipped 5.1 surround mixing.
Sumners’ Head of Audio, Tony Greenwood, believes the new investment will keep Sumners at the forefront of postproduction work: "The new suite demonstrates our client commitment with future proofing of kit. Together with Richard’s experience we now have even more to offer on the audio side."
Sumners is one of the largest single site Avid facilities in the UK, with a fully networked operation offering a total of thirty networked edit suites. The company works across all genres and credits include 'The Outsiders' (Mersey/ ITV), 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' (Hat Trick/BBC), 'Funland' (BBC), 'Real Story' (BBC), 'Dragons’ Den' (BBC), 'Songs Of Praise' (BBC) and 'Honey We’re Killing the Kids' (BBC).
