Eyeheight To Exhibit At SATIS2006

Eyeheight will be exhibiting the latest in its range of modular HD, SD and multidefinition broadcast equipment on Stand E72 at SATIS2006 in November.
These include a safe area generator, colour corrector, keyer and legaliser, plus a new SD multichannel source identifier. New configuration software for the established playout master control switcher will also be shown. A powerful enhancement to Eyeheight's range of colour correctors will also be demonstrated at SATIS. An integral Ethernet control interface enables all facilities and control menus to be operated from a PC via one-to-one connection, local network or remote internet access. The Ethernet control feature is available as an option for canalettoSDi (standard-definition), canalettoHDi (high-definition) or canalettoMDi (multi-definition).
SafeEyesMDi enables programme-makers, editors and telecine transfer facilities to ensure that the essential elements of their source material remain within the safe areas of a 16:9 television display. User-selected guide markers can be superimposed on a video display without being visible on the main programme feed. safeEyesMDi automatically senses and adapts to incoming 1080i and 720p HD as well as 625i PAL and 525i NTSC SD.
CanalettoMDi is a high-quality multi-definition digital colour corrector. Input and output support up to 1.5 gigabit/s HD-SDI SMPTE-274 and incorporate SDI auto-sensing. Each R, G and B channel has individually controllable gain, lift and gamma.
A multi-definition downstream linear keyer with background, fill and key inputs, keyEyesMDi offers all the facilities required for generating HD and SD matte overlays. Fill and key inputs with adjustable horizontal timing are provided. Other production features include matte generators, wipe, independent main and preview keyers and EDH re-insertion for the primary output.
LegalEyesMDi accepts 1080i and 720p HD as well as 625i PAL and 525i NTSC SD. It enables programme producers and editors to ensure that the level of their video signals remains within the strict tolerances required for HD and SD transmission to air and DVD mastering. Levels can be monitored continuously and manually or automatically corrected. User adjustments include hard and soft clipping levels, luma gain, chroma gain and black level. Settings can be stored in eight power-protected user memories.
Playout Application Suite enables Eyeheight's playout Master Control switcher, bugEyes logo generator and SQ-2 image-squeeze processor to be configured and managed from a standard PC running Microsoft Windows. It also allows new or existing installations to be checked thoroughly and any wrongly-set parameters automatically repaired.
Eyeheight will be represented at SATIS by Gilbert Viegas, Sales Manager. The exhibition will be held at its usual location, the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, November 7-9.
A world-leading innovator in the design of multiformat broadcast equipment, Eyeheight manufactures and sells serial digital video and digital audio products for use in transmission, digital edit suites, telecine, graphics, studios, dubbing and associated areas.
