Quantel Chooses OmniTek XR Systems

OmniTek have announced that Quantel has chosen to equip its demonstration facilities with multiple OmniTek XR systems.
The OmniTek XR image analysis system specifically designed for colorists and post-production editors working in a high- definition environment.
Currently, Quantel iQ, eQ and Pablo systems set the standard for Post Production editing and colour grading equipment, and this leading technology has been adopted by over 650 movie makers worldwide. When used in conjunction with Quantel systems, the OmniTek XR provides editors with the ultimate in high-resolution monitoring and colour analysis for all SD, HD, dual-link, and 2k images.
Mark Horton, Quantel’s worldwide marketing manager for Post and DI commented: “We chose the OmniTek XR because it is the only monitoring solution that specifically addresses the DI and post production markets. The extreme resolution waveforms, histograms, dual-link and 2K support, plus flexible view configurations provide the perfect feature set for our customers. More than being a data integrity tool, the OmniTek XR is also a powerful companion to the artistic colour grading process.”
At IBC stand 6.329, OmniTek will be demonstrating v2.0 software for the XR waveform monitor. Already the gold standard for post-production and DI users, the new v2.0 software takes the XR even further with features such as vectorscope zoom, split-mode waveform magnification, and full-resolution video proxy. The OmniTek XR systems can also be seen in action on the Quantel stand 7.220.
OmniTek is an innovative test and measurement company formed in 2001, specialising in the development of video analysis equipment for SD, HD and digital cinema applications.
