Forbidden Technologies Stream Workflow For Post Production

As September begins, the mass exodus of the broadcast industry to Amsterdam is well underway. Post production workflow will be high on the agenda and at the forefront of this will be web-based pioneers, Forbidden Technologies.
On the back of its streaming deal with BBC News 24, Forbidden has also now completed another major post production project with Granada Media on the entertainment documentary, ‘Trust Me I’m a Holiday Rep’.
The project involved utilising Forbidden’s FORscene web-based post production platform for ingesting, logging, review and shot selection of content for the second series, filmed in Crete this summer.
For the third consecutive year, visitors to IBC can watch video news highlights on their handsets, courtesy of FORscene.
This year’s show also sees IBC’s first venture into citizen journalism, allowing attendees to contribute video stories on what’s happening at the show, via their mobile phone. IBC Citizen TV has distributed Nokia N93 smartphones to a mixture of contributors from students to delegates.
The stories will be sent to the IBC Citizen TV base using Forbidden’s mobile player and compression technology, where the IBC news team will edit the daily coverage using the FORscene platform.
IBC 2006 promises to be one of the biggest ever, and Forbidden will again be flying the flag for web-based post production, exhibiting at Hall 2, Stand 110.
