Black Diamond launches Adventure Film Festival

Independent production company and distributor Black Diamond has partnered with Vue Cinemas and sponsors Nissan, National Geographic Channel, Columbia Clothing,
The Independent newspaper and Colorado Tourism to create the UK's first nationwide digital Adventure Film Festival.
Films featuring in the tour come from Black Diamond's extensive slate of extreme and adventure movies for which the company has traditionally exploited the DVD and TV rights as well as various third party producers.
The AFF provides an innovative platform for use of Black Diamond IP, finding extra revenue streams through the flexibility of digital film.
Guy Chambers Managing Director at Black Diamond said: "this medium gives enthusiasts and producers alike the chance to get to see or air films that would not normally be commercially viable for theatrical release and too niche in length and content for mainstream TV."
Black Diamond also has a solid background in film tours with 13 years experience organizing the UK's only interactive ski film tour for veteran director, Warren Miller.
Black Diamond Films houses the European HQ for Warren Miller's films, organizing and staging the nationwide tour whilst also being the European marketer and sales house for all video and DVD releases of the movie.
The AFF will run from September 11-23 with over 20 films being screened.
