Pro-Bel continues OB market dominance with NWE

Pro-Bel, the premier manufacturer of routing switchers, signal processing, master control, automation and control and monitoring technologies, has announced that a wide range of its equipment has been purchased and installed by systems integrator Neil Wilson Enterprises (NWE) as a core part of a major project for UK-based CTV OB.
NWE was contracted by United Media Group - owners of CTV OB - to provide design and installation services for two key projects. The first was the complete refurbishment and HD conversion of an existing truck that had originally been built by NWE in 1998. The second was a brand new, state-of-the-art, 24-camera HD vehicle.
Each truck is using an HD router - Sirius Gold 512 x 512 HD/SD - and a large audio router - Sirius 256 equipped 192 x 192 AES. Aurora router control is being used in both vehicles with a range of control panels. The trucks were designed and integrated by NWE to a very high specification with entirely HD signal monitoring and Dolby 5.1 digital audio using Dolby E encoding. The multi-format Sirius routers allow both vehicles to operate in HD or SD with very rapid conversion.
"We have had a long and successful relationship with Pro-Bel extending for fifteen years. We have always found its products to be reliable and to satisfy customer expectations. We have also always found the customer support second to none," explained owner Neil Wilson.
The timescales for the project were very tight, which is far from being unusual in the highly competitive OB market, with all parties involved meeting those deadlines.
Graham Pitman, Pro-Bel Group CEO, added: "Regularly returning customers are always a testimonial, making it especially pleasing to be working with Neil Wilson on this project. Sirius Gold is proving exceptionally popular in the OB truck market. The Sirius family continues to provide unrivalled flexibility and scalability and is ideally suited to mobile installations large and small."
