CHRIS PYE TIPPED AS NEW BOSS OF GMI
GRANADA Media’s new commercial director and executive vice-president Chris Pye is tipped as a leading contender to oversee a combined Granada Media International (GMI) and Itel.
Details of Granada’s distribution divisions are still being worked out as both companies will be affected by the purchase of United News Media.
Pye who will join Granada Media next week from BBC Worldwide is to oversee all commercial activity at Granada Creative and work alongside GMI Managing Director Nadine Nohr.
Itel staff said they have been preparing for redundancies since the prospect of a merger between Carlton Communications and United was announced last November.
Details of Granada’s distribution divisions are still being worked out as both companies will be affected by the purchase of United News Media.
