AWARD WINNING DIRECTOR AT IBC

WITH movie credits including the multi-Oscar nominated Leaving Las Vegas, director Mike Figgis will be discussing his latest work at IBC 2000.
As well as directing other well known movies such as Stormy Monday, One Night Stand, The Browning Version and Internal Affairs, Figgis has had a busy year with the release of two major features and a radical new all digital movie called Timecode 2000.
Timecode 2000, which was released in the US in April, is a DV feature that splits the screen into four quadrants. The four frames simultaneously depict people in different locales, with the stories merging into the same complex multi character narrative after around 12 minutes. The four mini movies were shot by four cameramen in 93 minute takes with hand held Sony DV cameras.
A spokesperson for IBC described Timecode 2000 as a ground breaking narrative film and a benchmark in digital technology for filmmaking.
