Granada International and Time Life forge output deal for Austrailia and New Zealand

Granada International Managing Director Nadine Nohr has announced that the company has signed an output deal with Time Life in Australia.
The multi-year contract gives Time Life Australia first look access to Granada International’s extensive television programming across all genres for DVD throughout Australia and New Zealand. Programmes will include contemporary drama series including 'Cracker' and 'Vincent' as well as shows from the back catalogue such as the Catherine Cookson titles, 'Cold Feet' and 'A Touch Of Frost'.
Simon Wheeler, Head of Home Entertainment at Granada International, who brokered the deal, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Time Life the foremost DVD distributor in Australia. Our diverse programming - from the brand new series launched recently at MIP TV through to classic shows in our extensive portfolio –affords them a great opportunity to release DVDs for home entertainment across a wide range of subjects. Time Life’s unrivalled expertise in marketing DVDs in direct marketing and in retail makes them an ideal partner for Granada.”
Robert Klein, Director Of New Product Development at Time Life, added: “Granada International’s catalogue of television programming is second to none – not only in terms of its breadth but also its high production values. We are very pleased to have an exclusive first look agreement which will enable us to strategically manage the release of titles from the Granada catalogue for the DVD market in Australia and New Zealand.”
