ALIAS|WAVEFRONT TEAMS UP WITH QUANTEL

QUANTEL have once again joined up with Alias|Wavefront to integrate Maya Paint Effects for Quantel’s new iQ product line.
In addition to the existing Maya software used by Quantel, the new iQ product line will now feature Maya Paint Effects Technology.

The collaboration with Quantel’s Qpaint and Maya Paint Effects allows artists to take advantage of Maya’s technology in online environments of video post production.
Paint Effects offers artists the ability to reach instant creation and animation of organic and painterly effects. These effects can then be animated over time with controls for the elements like turbulence and gravity to produce sequences such as fire and smoke.

Maya Paint Effects can be previewed for the first time as part of the new iQ product line on Quantel’s stand at IBC 2000 in Amsterdam.
