FORBIDDEN’S FORECAST LAUNCH OF NEW STREAMING TECHNOLOGY

FORBIDDEN Technologies the video streaming company have developed a method of compressing video data by a factor of 3000 times.
Forbidden plan to develop the technology to deliver video speeds of 25 frames a second with VHS picture quality. This will allow video to be viewed in real time on any computer without additional software.
Further trials are being planned, but Forbidden hopes to launch their first commercially-ready product before the end of the year, which will be suitable for broadcasting simple ‘talking heads’ content such as interviews, news and speeches.
Forbidden’s developments could hasten the arrival of internet video content which challenge traditional broadcast outlets.
