BT BROADCAST SERVICES LAUNCH MEDIAREEL

BT Broadcast Services have launched Mediareel, a new service that will enable companies to exploit the industry’s migration to the digital video domain.
Mediareel will enable the storage and delivery of professional quality media content based on a customised server environment. The service will be based on a network centric digital content management system.
The concept was designed to help broadcasters make a smooth transition from traditional to data networks. Mediareel will provide the broadcast and media communities with access to server-based products that can be located at key nodes on the Broadcast Services contribution and distribution networks.
The servers will provide offline and overflow storage, a store and forward capability and access to a range of media analysis and enterprise reporting.
