ELECTRIC IMAGE MANAGEMENT BUY-OUT

ELECTRIC Image, developers of software products for 3D animation, have announced the completion of their management buy-out of the company from Play Industries.
The management team buy-out means that Electric Image is now an independent company that will concentrate on the production of 3D animations.
Chairman and CEO of Electric Image, Dwight Parscale said: “We are excited to again be able to focus our total efforts on continuing the development of the most powerful 3D applications in the world. We have expended a large amount of energy developing a new architecture which will greatly enhance our development process and speed to market with new features on all platforms. We are committed to working with the 3D community in creating software they want and need.”
Kory Jones of Reality Check Studios said: “They had been using the Electric Image since the studios inception four years ago on projects such as the NFL on CBS, 'Titan A.E.' and the 'X-Men'.” He said he was “very excited" that Electric Image were on their own again and was looking forward to the upcoming release of Universe.
