FIRST FILM FOUNDATION AND SCI-FI SHORTS SCHEME

THE FIRST Film Foundation and Sci-Fi, the cable and satellite channel, are launching a new scheme to win the chance to make a high quality, 10-minute film on a science fiction theme.
The winning film will be produced by the First Film Foundation, and exhibited nationally in UCI cinemas, as well as on Sci-Fi and industry showcases.
Scripts should be under 10-minutes and reflect an innovative interpretation of sci-fi, from the serious and spine-chilling to the humorous and provoking.
Applications may be from either screenwriters or directors, where the short-listed directors will be invited to put forward ideas for the chance to direct the winning scripts.
The deadline for submissions to the scheme is October 31.
For more information and an application form send an SAE to: Sci-Fi Shorts, The First Film Foundation, 9 Bourlet Close, London, W1P 7PJ, or visit www.firstfilm.co.uk
