PIXEL POWER LAUNCH CLARITY SD VERSION

CAMBRIDGE based Pixel Power have announced the launch of the Clarity SD character and graphics generator.
James Gilbert, Pixel Power's Development Director, said: "Following the success of Clarity HD, we decided that it was important for broadcasters to be given breathing space in the transition of standards. In developing Clarity SD we have recognised this by providing broadcasters with a real solution to future headaches in the changeover to HD. Broadcasters need to know that any investment they make is secure in a changing market. In many parts of the world there is not enough high definition work to justify the purchase of a dedicated Clarity HD. We have developed Clarity SD with a clear and switchable upgrade path for painless transition to Clarity HD when the time is right. Dual channel Clarity SD also offers broadcasters the full benefits of a dual channel system, particularly for live events where speed and flexibility are paramount".
Providing an integrated CG, stills store and paint system for standard definition, Clarity SD's real-time, multi-layer and multi-format technology combines production level graphics, event sequencing and motion effects with automation and productivity features.
In addition to providing the full feature set of Clarity HD, Clarity SD supported configurations include dual-channel SD upgradeable to quad channel SD or dual-channel HD.
