Granada International signs distribution deal with Films Of Record

Leading distributor Granada International has inked a deal with award-winning producer Films of Record to distribute four of its brand new documentaries worldwide.
Mark Reynolds, Head of Factual at Granada International, commented: "We are very pleased to be working with Films of Record, one of the UK's most respected documentary producers. Whilst all of the four documentaries we are distributing on their behalf feature life in the UK as a backdrop, each of them focuses on a distinctive community's challenges and triumphs giving the stories universal appeal."
Roger Graef of Films of Record added: "We are sure our new documentaries are in good hands with Granada International, who will give the shows the attention they deserve around the world."
Made for BBC 1, 'Girl Cops' is a 8 x 29‚ lively and intriguing documentary series centred around the work and lives of a group of women police officers. 'Chinatown' is fascinating and insightful 3 x 59‚ series about Chinese people working and living in the UK, examining whether it is possible to maintain a Chinese identity while assimilating into British society. Produced by Films of Record for the BBC, Chinatown takes viewers on an emotional journey through the experiences of the British Chinese, who range from wealthy entrepreneurs to the lonely and unpredictable lives of illegal immigrants.
Created for the UK's five, 'Classroom Chaos', 1 x 47‚ uses hidden cameras to reveal the reality of life in some secondary schools in Britain. Using cameras hidden in a button and a briefcase, the teacher captures eye-opening footage of pupils swearing, fighting and downloading porn.
'Murder Blues' is a hard-hitting documentary 3 x 59‚ series about the challenging work of Trident, an elite detective squad investigating black on black shootings.
