WMFE-TV choose Titan

When WMFE-TV, the PBS affiliate in Orlando evaluated automation systems as part of their master control upgrade, the ongoing costs for annual technical support were of critical concern.
While all broadcasters want to control spending, PBS stations work on fixed budgets and must control operating costs.
Mike Simmons, Director of Engineering for WMFE assessed numerous automation companies before choosing Sundance Digital and its Titan. "Some of the other providers required a fairly high percentage of the original purchase price every year just for support. That would have been a disaster for us. Sundance had a much better plan, easier to live with over the long term and their technical support has been very good. They stay with you and work with you."
WMFE-TV, a community owned station reaches the Orlando/ Daytona Beach / Melbourne Florida markets with a 24/7 analogue channel, and a digital service from 7am to midnight.
The recently installed Titan configuration presently drives seven channels and controls a SeaChange video server, an Nvision router, four BitLink satellite IRDs, six Motorola 4800 series IRDs and six VertigoXmedias.
Titan is a highly-scalable automation system able to control many
hundreds of channels in a facility or remotely manage playlists at multiple geographically separated locations.
