IDX to show full range of power solutions at NAB 2006

IDX is to show its full range of power solutions and accessories for broadcast and professional video at NAB 2006.
This includes the ENDURA V-Mount Lithium-Ion batteries, E-10 and E-10S (both 98Wh) along with the E-7 and E-7S (both 71Wh), and a selection of advanced chargers. IDX's PowerLink allows live docking of E-10 and E-7 batteries to double capacity and power. Also, the NP-L7 and NP-L7S batteries now offer 71Wh within standard NP casing.
IDX is established as an industry innovator and the very latest developments will be on show at the stand. Some of the products that will be on show include:
The VAL-4S and VAL-4Si are new chargers that build on the success of the VL-4S and VL-4Si 4-channel V-Mount multi-chemistry chargers introduced at NAB 2005. The new chargers extend true simultaneous charging from the original four to eight batteries while maintaining the lightweight compact profile of the original models. For the fastest turnaround of high capacity batteries, charging runs as two groups of four; so the first group is fully charged before starting on the second. This is a highly portable solution for large-scale charging. The VAL-4Si charger adds discharging and displays some battery management data as well as providing a PC connection to the IDX Battery Management System (BMS).
The X3-Lite is a revolutionary and long-lasting on-board LED camera light offering the equivalent to a 37W halogen bulb while only drawing a battery-friendly 11W. It is now available complete with barn doors and a range of filters.
The new A-E2H1 bracket provides a V-Mount adaptor to extend the use of the powerful ENDURA battery range to the Canon XL-H1 HDV camcorder.
WEVI (Stand SU143) is a new IDX company that provides innovative ways to support TV production, initially using wireless Ethernet. Its CAM~WAVE system comprises the CW-5 TX that clips onto cameras, and the CW-5 RX receiver that clips onto monitors to transport high quality composite or S-Video PAL or NTSC with stereo audio from a camera to a monitor or other chosen destination. It enables a quick, easy-to-install wireless monitoring solution over a local area.
