Contour Design to demonstrate products at PARMA

Contour Design will be demonstrating its line of ergonomic products at Booth 524/526 at the Palm Springs Convention Centre, from 7 - 10 February.
The event will mark the 32nd annual meeting of PARMA and over 1100 members are expected to attend.
PARMA is a professional organisation with a mission to promote, develop, and facilitate education and leadership in public agency risk management. Their interests extend into helping public sector risk managers learn and practice ways of risk prevention and minimization. Many of their members come from those segments of the public sector that specialise in insurance - particularly disability and workers' compensation, where taxpayers often assume the burdens of fulfilling claims. It is in the best interests of public agency risk managers to do their utmost to understand and prescribe products, methods, and procedures necessary to minimise these burdens.
Contour Design has embarked on a business strategy of helping risk managers understand the beneficial nature of their ergonomic products in terms of their being able to prevent workplace injuries, such as Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). With products that prevent or minimize risk of such injuries and the largely expensive payouts for medical care, rehabilitation, and the opportunity costs for loss of work time, professional risk managers throughout both the public and private sectors have learned that it is far less costly to be preventive rather than remedial.
The premier product that an increasing number of risk managers have come to rely on is the Contour RollerMouse family - both the "Classic" and PRO models. These devices effectively eliminate the "reach" required by traditional mousing devices. With more and more application software products presenting graphical user interfaces and requiring intensive mousing operations, there has been a geometric increase in mousing-induced RSI and on burdens placed on workers' compensation.
