bfi Black World launches Nu-Visions Micro-site for aspiring young filmmakers

bfi Black World has aunched Nu-Visions, an internet micro-site designed by the bfi and developed by young people for young people hoping to break into the film and television industry.
A comprehensive resource, Nu-Visions provides useful information and links to training schemes, informal training providers, industry and funding bodies, opportunities and advice.
Nu-Visions 30 Faces Under 30 section profiles 30 new faces under 30 years of age from all industry disciplines who are working their way up within the film and television industry. Featuring actors, festival programmers, filmmakers, researchers, producers and writers, this will also form a unique resource for those sourcing young talent.
The site also offers Day in the Life diaries, reviews and features on Black World events and DVD and film releases written by aspiring young journalists.
A special link has also been created with BBC Blast website – www.bbc.co.uk/blast which provides a platform to screen young people’s short films.
Whether you are a budding actor, writer, producer or director, or simply want to tips on how to begin a media career, Nu-Visions will point the way.
