Kalanos Media Group upgrade studio facilities

One of the leading Dutch facility companies Kalanos Media Group has upgraded its Studio facilities (Studio 23) at the Mediapark in Hilversum with six Grass Valley LDK 500 triax cameras and a Grass Valley XtenDD-3 switcher.
The camera chains were supplied with super expanders, CCUs, lenses and pedestals, and installed with the XtenDD-3 switcher in a new control room. The upgraded studio is already booked for both daily and weekly productions.
The LDK 500 camera features 14-bit analogue to digital conversion and processing, an industry first. Also built into the camera is a framestore to assist with setting some of the added functions such as skin tone filtering.
As part of the Grass Valley vision mixer line, the XtenDD series includes SD and HD models and features local area network (LAN) technology, high-performance chroma key capabilities, and macro key memory.
Four channels of digital video effects deliver 3-D planar effects and the switcher's four channels of RAM storage provide 32 seconds of internal clip memory.
