The Pixel Farm announce recent UK sales

Following a series of major product launches in 2005, The Pixel Farm has announced recent sales to a number of principle UK postproduction facilities.
A growing worldwide reputation for excellence has ensured both significant repeat business as well as a number of purchases from new customers, thus The Pixel Farm’s tools are rapidly becoming central to the production of major film, computer games and advertising projects.
Further to the companies’ tremendous success in Hollywood in the last two years, The Pixel Farm’s applications continue to gain an ever-strengthening foothold within the UK post production and games industries with renowned Soho facilities such as Double Negative, MPC, Nice Shirt Films, Absolute and LipSync all recently purchasing PFTrack V3, with many also including PFPlay V2 to their post-production armouries.
Ritchie Beacham Paterson, Post Production Manager, LipSync, said: “LipSync has used PFTrack extensively in our latest work on the feature Cashback (Dir Sean Ellis) which required some challenging 3D camera tracking for the final scenes of the movie. We have also been very impressed with PFPlay, it is the ideal way to present FX dailies – and at film resolution. What attracted us most to the Pixel Farm products was the down to earth, practical attitude of the Pixel Farm team. Their understanding of the industry ensures that the products are developed in a way that provides us with the essential tools for an efficient and professional workflow.”PFTrack is the most comprehensive and advanced camera desktop tracking solution available with version 3 including such features as advanced object tracking, geometry tracking, editable f curves, imbedded image based modelling tools and automatic z depth extraction.
Launched at SIGGRAPH in July 2005, PFPlay 2.0 has generated much interest within the industry and is already becoming a key tool in the DI workspace, providing a cross platform, resolution independent disc based play back system for pre output QA, directorial review and approval and complete project preview.
In addition to the media industry, the increasing demands on game developers - with the introduction of next generation of games consoles and the need for ever more realism - the Pixel Farm’s products have sparked growing interest from the games development community. Companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment and the UK based Evolution Studios are now using PFTrack in the development of some of the leading titles that will appear next year.
Building on this success and the leading research in the fields of image manipulation and motion estimation, The Pixel Farm are set to release the revolutionary image clean up and preparation system PFClean before the end of the year. PFClean is designed for the preparation of digital images for post production, automatically removing dirt, dust, scratches and flicker from sequences as well as providing an extremely flexible trackable paint and review system.
