Spanish state station TVE relies on DNF Controls for OB trucks

DNF Controls has announced that Madrid-based Meditel, one of Spain's most established dealers of broadcast equipment, has provided state television station TVE with six ST304-EDIT-T slow-motion controllers for control and editing of video and audio signals in recently purchased outside broadcast trucks.
The installation included custom modifications by DNF to the controller software to meet TVE's particular requirements.
"The engineers at TVE love DNF Controls equipment and ask for it by name," said Meditel's Managing Director, Valentín Nanclares. "They feel that DNF is better than other manufacturers in the industry at understanding their needs and providing the right product at the right price. My clients and I appreciate the company's willingness to develop custom solutions, which makes me particularly proud to represent DNF in Spain."
TVE is the state TV station covering all of Spain, including the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands. It broadcasts two programmes in analogue UHF and digital terrestrial in Spain, plus a programme via satellite that is available in Europe, America, and Africa.
TVE has production centres in all of the country's regions and includes a few hours of content produced locally from those centres in its broadcasts.
The ST304-EDIT-T slow-motion controllers that TVE purchased through Meditel are based on DNF's popular ST300-T controller and offer smooth, slo-mo playout and a powerful setup menu, which allows users to configure the controller for the way they work. Operators can quickly and easily mark and recall up to 100 cue points per VTR - up to 400 in total. The cue points are retained in non-volatile memory when the unit is powered off. Up to four VTRs can be controlled individually or ganged.
The ST304-EDIT-T is also specifically designed for fast and easy-to-use sports-style two-machine cuts editing. Its tactile user interface makes it familiar and efficient. The solution supports both video and audio editing. The IN and OUT points can be marked or manually entered using the numeric keyboard. The TRIM+ and TRIM- keys provide fast trimming - by frames, seconds, minutes, or hours. IN, OUT, and DURATION for each VTR is displayed on the ST304's easy-to-read, four-line LCD display.
