HHB WELCOMES SONY PRESIDENT

News Image
IN recognition of a 50 per cent growth in business during 2000, HHB Communications received a visit from Sony’s Senior Management including Mr Hideyo Takeuchi, President of Sony Sounds Communications, Japan, at their London headquarters in November.
During the visit, HHB and Sony managers discussed market trends, new formats and the introduction of new Sony products including the MDS-E0 and E-12 MiniDisc recorders and the DMX-R100 digital console, all of which were made available first in the UK by HHB.
HHB Managing Director, Ian Jones (pictured with Hideyo Takeuchi), said: “We’ve always enjoyed a special relationship with Sony which has been beneficial for both organisations. The UK is a very important and influential market and we’re naturally proud that Sony have long identified us as key strategic partners.”
During an 18-year association, HHB have played a pivotal role in assisting Sony first with the successful introduction of early PCM mastering technology.
David Bush, the General Manager of Sony Broadcast and Professional Europe, said: “Feedback from HHB is a very important part of our product planning. HHB enjoys a unique dialogue with UK audio professionals in all key market sectors.”
