Loveworld Television chooses On-Air Systems as broadcast playout partner

On-Air Systems, international developers of broadcast automation systems, have announced that they have been chosen by new Christian channel, Loveworld Television, as its broadcast playout partner.
On-Air Systems will provide Loveworld Television with a complete range of automated playout services from the newly refurbished ON-AIR Playout Centre situated in the heart of London’s broadcasting community adjacent to the BT Tower. Loveworld Television will initially broadcast 24 hours on the Sky platform to audiences across the UK and Ireland.
“To launch a new television channel successfully, you need a sound business model, good partners and reliable suppliers,” said Louis Ovonlen, Manager of Operations, Loveworld Television. “On-Air Systems’ vast knowledge and understanding of the industry has been of tremendous value to us, and, after extensive investigation of playout facilities, we have concluded that their playout service is the most reliable and feature-rich option available.”
Loveworld will obtain content for its new channel from a variety of sources, as well as including live broadcasts featuring interviews and discussion groups. Programmes, commercials and other events such as links, logos and bumpers, will be delivered to the On-Air operators who will digitise them using automated batch capture. Loveworld will then be able to browse these files from their own offices and build schedules using on-air Systems’ scheduling software. Slots for live events will be included as required. Once finished, the schedules will be emailed to the on-air Playout Centre for validation. On-Air will then manage the entire playout process including support for Loveworld’s corporate ID.
At the end of each day, ON-AIR Systems will produce an as-run log in addition to providing full compliancy with Ofcom’s broadcasting regulations.
