Faraday launches new interface cards

Faraday Technology has introduced a new range of miniature, pcb mounting video interface cards aimed at Broadcast Equipment manufacturers.
Two families are currently available, one based on converting to and from SDI and the other to and from 10-bit parallel component video. The latter is useful for interfacing various formats directly to DSP chips such as an FPGA. The formats currently available convert to and from CVBS, S-Video and RGB with the analogue inputs and outputs fully filtered and of broadcast quality.
The cards are constructed as 20, 30 or 40 pin SIL packages depending on functionality. A maximum height of 30mm allows the parallel stacking of the cards onto a mother board designed for a 1U format. This is particularly useful to save valuable pcb real estate in multiple input and output equipment.
Other formats will be available and custom designs on request.
