BAL launches Mini-Multiviewer

BAL Broadcast has further increased its range of multiviewers with the BALBOX “4 in 1” SDI quad split.
The SVMV010 uses the superb picture manipulation engine from its bigger brother, BALPRISM and this ensures excellent quality of the displayed picture. It operates with four SDI inputs and gives SDI and component outputs to suit the display device.
The unit is primarily designed for use in OB situations where rack-space and picture-monitoring facilities are limited.
The SVMV010 combines four pictures into one with good resolution – hence increasing the monitor utilisation. The BALBOX enclosure allows the unit to be mounted in any convenient space, perhaps on the rear of the monitor. It does not need to take valuable rack-space.
For larger installations, however, four BALBOXES can be mounted in a 1-U 19” tray. This could be further SVMV’s or other modules from the wide BALBOX range.
