MCIVOR LOOKS FOR FILM LOCATIONS IN NI

LOCATIONS Surveyor, Colin McIvor, is looking for potential film locations in Northern Ireland as part of a cross border Locations Database project.
Interest in Northern Ireland as a film location is on the rise, with numerous high profile films such as ‘Divorcing Jack’ and ‘Titanic Town’ having been filmed in the province in recent years. Last year alone, five feature films, a TV drama series and a host of short films were made in Northern Ireland.
The Northern Ireland Film Commission (NIFC) are keen to provide producers worldwide with a free, comprehensive listing of unique locations. Using the latest digital technology to capture location images, these photographs can then be emailed anywhere in the world along with all of the location details.
Having directed a short film and currently involved in the development of a feature film script, McIvor is keen to show producers as wide a choice of diverse locations as possible. “This database will showcase Northern Ireland's distinctive range of locations and will help attract increased film production to the area,” he said. “This is a free service and we are open to potential locations that stand out and are visually exciting anywhere in Northern Ireland, from buildings to landscapes.”
For more information about the project or if you would like to register your property, contact Joanne Holland at the Locations Office on: Tel (028) 9023 2444 or email [email protected] (CD)
