Royal charity premiere calls for Imagination 3D to theme Imax Cinema as 'Mystic India'

Imagination 3D recently handled a brief ‘to transform and create an ambient and authentic Indian atmosphere’ at the royal world charity premiere of 'Mystic India: an Incredible Journey of Inspiration' at the Imax Cinema of The Science Museum, London.
Shashi Patel of Imagination 3D said: "Using live dancers, craftsmen carving intricate designs into granite stones, 3D props, artefacts and floral displays, we created a walk through which took all the guests through various parts of India, providing an ideal prelude to the film. The aura of the array of fresh flowers and arrangements on display, gave the various settings the added touch of a cool Indian summers night".
The entrance of the museum was transformed and dressed with cascading flowers and Mystic India banners draped across the entire front to the museum. The red carpet led from the edge of the pavement to the inside of the museum.
Arriving to attend the premiere the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were garlanded in traditional Indian fashion as children tied sacred threads to their wrists as a symbol of friendship.
As were a host of celebrities including Rowan Atkinson, Raghav, Sanjiv Bhasker, Meera Syal, Preeya Kalidas, and former High Commissioner for India Dr L.M. Singhvi and a collection of other stars from India, together with representatives from international embassies, high profile business magnates and senior politicians.
Mystic India rediscovers India, a land of many mysteries and fascinations. The film follows an 11-year-old child yogi, Neelkanth, who walked for seven years and 8000 miles across the length and breadth of this vast mystical land.
Underscoring the message "Unity in Diversity" over 50 young children from different nations across the globe assembled together waving flags from their respective countries dressed in their national attires as a symbol of such unity.
His Royal Highness expressed his delight of the film and the spectacular areas of India he wishes to visit: “Of course what it does emphasise is how remarkable India is. Before long, I hope I should be able to take my wife to the various parts of India I haven’t managed to see yet.”
Mystic India produced by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, a volunteer-based NGO affiliated to the UN, for Education, Culture and Humanitarian Services is narrated by Sir Peter O’Toole.
Directed by Keith Melton, the film's Director of Photography was Reed Smoot, and Emmy award winner Sam Cardon and Pandit Ronu Majumdar composed the music.
BAPS Care International and the Mayor of London co-hosted the Premiere.
