Maidstone Studios appoints new Head of Post Production

Chris Lewis has been appointed to head up post production for The Maidstone Studios.
He will be responsible for the smooth running of its post facilities, which include six editing suites. These are currently used by clients such as ITV Granada, The Foundation TV, Flextech Television, Media Merchants and Hit Entertainment. He previously worked as head of post production for the Musicians Channel.
On Lewis' appointment, new general manager of The Maidstone Studios, Kenton Oxley, said: "We see a massive benefit in growing our post production business. Over the next three months we will overhaul our post production facilities in order to compete on par with the Soho Houses, yet provide a cost saving to clients by being based just a short distance from town. We are looking to upgrade our dubbing facilities by investing in a Digidesign Pro Tools HD2 Accel. We will also invest heavily in new entry level edit kit as this is a rapidly expanding market. Chris is the ideal candidate to oversee this area as he has excellent experience in this field and has the added insight of having already extensively used the post facilities here at Maidstone as a client."
