Kudos strengthens team with new roles

Kudos Film and Television has made two significant appointments to help consolidate its existing team.
'Spooks' and 'Hustle' exec Simon Crawford Collins continues his relationship with the leading drama indie as Head of Drama, with former script editor Faith Penhale being appointed Head of Development.
Simon Crawford Collins has been working with Kudos since 2001 when, along with Kudos Joint MD Jane Featherstone, he produced Spooks - which went on to win awards from BAFTA, the RTS, Broadcast, and nominations for many others.
Simon continued to produce the second series and took over as co-exec producer for series three of Spooks, before going on to produce the first series and co-exec the second series of hit BBC drama Hustle. Simon will run the drama department at Kudos, working with Jane Featherstone to oversee Kudos' current projects as well as developing new projects.
Faith Penhale, formerly series script editor on EastEnders and Trust, began working with Kudos in 2002 on Spooks series two. Penhale script edited the third series of Spooks and worked on projects across the development slate. Penhale’s new role will see her working to further grow Kudos’ exciting development slate.
Jane Featherstone, Joint Managing Director at Kudos Film and Television, said: “It’s a very exciting time at Kudos – we have some significant projects in the pipeline and these appointments consolidate our in-house talent base. Simon is one of the most talented producers in the business, demonstrated by the success of both Spooks and Hustle. Faith’s input to our development slate has been invaluable and we are looking forward to bringing some fantastic new projects alive.”
The position of Head of Drama was previously held by Jane Featherstone, now Joint Managing Director. The Head of Development position was held by Claire Parker who is now working as a series producer for Kudos, currently working on the new BBC One primetime series 'Life On Mars', now in production and starring John Simm (The Lakes, Sex Traffic, Canterbury Tales).
