South West locations showcased at Cannes

The South West of England is reportedly taking the internationally renowned Cannes Film Festival by storm.
Caroline Norbury, Chief Executive of South West Screen, said: “With three feature film premieres showcasing South West locations, a variety of home grown short films being screened, and a Bristol Screenwriter nominated for a prestigious award, the region is really making its mark at this year’s event.”
Building on the South West’s reputation for being 'film friendly', three major feature films shot in the South West are to be premiered at Festival. ‘These Foolish Things’, ‘The Truth about Love’ and ‘Lost Dogs’ will bring Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucestershire to the big screen, right in front of the top producers, directors and distributors from around the globe.
South West Screen assisted in finding a range of local crew for these productions.
Sue Craig, Film Liaison Manager for South West Screen, said: “The South West is proving once again that it pays to be film friendly. These films illustrate the amazing versatility of our locations, especially when coupled with first class crew and facilities such as Cheltenham Film Studios.”
