Gee Broadcast launch improved SDI solution

Gee Broadcast has announced that their competitive Geevs XT Broadcast Video Server now offers a four channel in and out SDI solution for under $20,000.
Both the Geevs XT250 and XT500 models come in either two channel or four channel versions. The XT250 model is for DV25 and IMX based applications such as with Sony XDCAM. The XT500 is designed to work in networked production environments with the Lightworks Touch Editor.
Geevs XT provides full system integration facilities with support for many control and interchange protocols such as Sony RS422, VDCP and MOS. It also features an impressive array of inbuilt production and playout tools including support for “edit while record” and true shared database operation between multiple servers.
NAB 2005 is the first North American showing for these new products. Gee Broadcast has also made a number of steps recently to build its North American presence with an Office in LA at 1041 N. Formosa Ave, Hollywood, California, the appointment of Gencom in New York as a dealer and the establishment of a North American support operation.
