MERLIN SIGN CONTRACT WITH CNBC EUROPE

MERLIN Communications International have signed a contract with global 24-hour business and financial news network CNBC Europe to distribute programming to audiences in Europe from their London Studio.
In partnership with GE Americom, Merlin, a global communications facilities management business, will deliver, via the GE1-E satellite, the 'Tonight Show' with Jay Leno and 'LateNight' with Conan O'Brien, providing subscriber based access to audiences in Europe.
The shows are played out from CNBC Europe's London studios and sent to Merlin's uplink facility in the UK via Merlin's fibre network. They are then received directly from the satellite by CSD International, a digital satellite operator in Spain, and transmitted direct to audiences across Spain, France and The Netherlands via Astra. The programmes are also received by Yes TV in Israel and uplinked onto the AMOS 1 satellite and in Portugal by TV Cabo where they are then transmitted via cable to audiences in the region.
