Alias searches for next Maya Masters in 2005

Alias has announced that nominations for its 2005 Maya Masters will be accepted until Friday, March 18, 2005.
Now in its fifth year, the Maya Masters programme recognises talented members of the computer graphics community whose spirit and imagination reshape and redefine the boundaries of technology, art and visualisation. No more than six Maya artists are chosen from the dozens of nominations received each year for this coveted award. The 2005 Maya Masters will be announced and honored on the Alias Global Users Association (AGUA) mainstage during the SIGGRAPH tradeshow in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 31, 2005.
Established in 2001, the Maya Masters Programme celebrates the accomplishments of Maya users around the world. Each year, Alias recognises exceptional Maya Masters from all walks of life — digital artists, visual storytellers and scientists — those who use 3D computer graphics to explore and present the world in a different way. Maya Masters is a non-endorsement programme, with no fees paid and membership by invitation only, based on nominations.
Nominations for Maya Masters 2005 will be accepted until Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:59 pm EST. Submissions must include: The name of the person nominated and his/her contact information; A written overview (maximum 200 words) about what the individual does and what sets he/she apart from other talented artists in the industry; A sample of the individual’s work (still images, link to website, video - beta sp, d-beta or .mov file).
For more information about Maya Masters and the nomination process, please visit: www.alias.com/mayamasters.
