FRAMESTORE COMPLETE SPOT FOR CINGULAR WIRELESS

FRAMESTORE have recently completed an animated spot for Cingular Wireless through BBDO South.
‘Good Vibrations’ was directed by Markus Manninen from FrameStore and produced by Helen MacKenzie.
Completed in less than three weeks, the spot was pre-visualised in 3D using Avid/Softimage 3D where Manninen worked out the timings to save on valuable time. Whilst the pre-visualisation was under way Martin Carroll and Ulf Lundgren created the environment, established the character ‘Jack’ and tested the animations in Alias|Wavefront Maya. As soon as the pre-visualisation was approved the timings were transported into Maya where the final animation began. The movements of the bedspread and pillow were simulated by Antony Field using Maya Cloth. Kevin McGowan finalised both the lighting and rendering using Maya.
The spot was composited in Inferno by Avtar Bains and Nick Bennett who combined all the 3D elements and added additional speech bubbles. (CD)
