Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision chooses Ai-Pixel BVL-5900

Ai-Pixel BV, a leading European designer and developer of affordable advanced digital video solutions for the broadcast industry, has announced that The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision has acquired its BVL-5900 broadcast video logger, solution to more efficiently and cost-effectively record and retrieve output from Dutch broadcasters.
The Ai-Pixel BVL-5900 broadcast video logger solution comprises a number of VRX-8100 MPEG-2 Media Network Servers and is managed by the Ai-Pixel Media Network Manager. The solution enables the Institute to easily record all Dutch channel broadcasts as well as to quickly retrieve stored content.
Ruud Sweering, Manager TCR & Depot, The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, explained: “The Ai-Pixel broadcast video logger solution matched our requirements perfectly. The user interface allows us to deliver the selection of TV programs in an Excel spreadsheet via email to the technical centre, which uploads this 1-1 into the Ai-Pixel system with no additional programming required. That’s what I call user friendly and efficient!
“Moreover, the system is very reliable and will increase our cost efficiency and the level of service we deliver.”
Shimon Ben-Ayoun, Ai-Pixel's VP Sales and Marketing, said: “The BVL-5900 enables broadcasters to meet their logging requirements, either for governmental or for commercial purposes.
”We are very pleased that such a reputable organisation has chosen the BVL-5900 to manage and execute their logging requirements. Already used by other major broadcasters, the BVL-5900 will help the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision meet their customers’ requirements and provide them with the content needed in an MPEG-2 format.”
The Institute is the largest audiovisual archive in The Netherlands.
