IMAGINE AND PAZAP ANNOUNCE CONTENTS PARTNERSHIP

IMAGINE Products, developers of the Image Mine archiving system, and pazap net, European content management specialists and systems integrators for broadcast and new media markets, have announced a partnership to integrate the Image Log-VK streaming video index logging module into asset management solutions.
Image Log-VK is a new remote control index logger designed to work with third party media asset management systems (MAM). It is controlled by the MAM system’s scheduling application to catalogue incoming video streams. Image Log-VK utilises Imagine Products’ patented Auto Capture Technology (ACT) to grab thumbnail JPEGs and timecode at each scene change. The applet has configurable settings for sensitivity, stream, ODBC connectivity and batch mode contribution controls via a published Application Programming Interface (API).
Dan Montgomery, CEO of Imagine Products, said that pazap were great strategic partners for Europe: “They have long and extensive relationships with database companies and most importantly, key European broadcast and corporate system purchasers. pazap’s immediate task is to integrate the logging of timecode and thumbnails into their media asset management system ark-e-media. The video encoding on this application is to be performed separately.”
Providing broadcasters, content owners and new media companies with content management solutions, pazap has developed a browser-based content management product called ark-e-media. This offers an end-to-end content management solution from ingestion, archiving, searching and e-commerce that enables broadcasters and content owners to manage and exploit programme assets, both traditional and new media, across internet, wireless and broadband links.
Major users of ark-e-media are Telco and Broadcasters. pazap have a development team in the UK and Italy with offices in Spain and France. (CD)
