Marquis Broadcast expands management team

Marquis Broadcast, specialist in broadcast workflow studies and software solutions, has announced three senior level appointments to expand its management team based in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
From March 1, Marquis will be employing the services of Peter Davies, well-known broadcasting figurehead and former CEO and Chairman of On-Air Systems. Davies will be joining Marquis in an advisory capacity to assist in the specification and implementation of new workflow technologies for international broadcasting customers. Previously with Avid Technology for 10 years, Davis was Vice President of Worldwide Operations. It was during his time at Avid that Davies first met Granby Patrick, Marquis’ founding member and current Managing Director.
“Having previously worked alongside Granby and Marquis on a number of major broadcasting projects, I have been impressed by the results they have achieved through their systematic approach to process analysis,” said Davies. “I look forward to supporting them as they continue to develop their market.”
In a similar capacity, Marquis will also be employing Martin Poole, one of the original founders of special effects companies, Digital Arts and Parallax. Poole brings a wealth of knowledge to Marquis having also held senior positions with Avid Technology.
Marquis Broadcast will be further boosted by the appointment of Simon Fearn who joins as Operations Process Manager. Fearn was previously Project Manager with Omnibus Systems, a position he held for six years.
Marquis is a leading specialist in the identification, design and implementation of new workflow practices in the broadcasting industry.
The company has also developed a range of tools for project management and systems integration to ensure customers achieve maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness in their broadcasting operations.
Marquis’ workflow design tool, OPERAL, is currently in use by broadcasters worldwide.
