ETTV chooses Network Electronics for signal transport

Following an extensive evaluation of competitive products, ETTV - Taiwan’s largest shopping network - has selected a complex flashlink optical transport system from Network Electronics to deliver the highest quality television signal to its sizeable audience.
“ETTV’s decision to go with flashlink was based upon numerous interviews with Network Electronics’ customers as well as a thorough comparison of flashlink and its competitors”, said James Wang, CEO Network Taiwan. “We are very proud that our reputation for reliability is supported by the testimony of those that use Network products daily.”
Wang also cited the products’ attractive price point, easy configuration, light weight, high-quality and quick delivery as contributing factors in ETTV’s choice.
ETTV’s flashlink system forms a ring linking six locations with approximately 20 studios and several sub-studios. Control of the entire system is accomplished from the main control room. The configuration also includes Network Electronics’ APS (Automatic Protection System) which provides an emergency-change over function to avoid 'black screens' should any fibre be interrupted. Monitoring of the entire flashlink system is easily accomplished GYDA - Network Electronics monitoring system.
ETTV, operator of three successful channels, insisted on SDI without any compression to maximize on screen images of product offerings allowing viewers to make enlightened purchase decisions.
