IDX to unveil expanded Endura line-up at Video Forum 2005

At Video Forum, IDX Technology is to unveil an expanded ENDURA range of Lithium-ion battery, charger and ancillary products for broadcast professionals.
The new E-10 battery offers a 20% increase in capacity at no extra cost, the X3-Lite makes use of new LED technology and the VL-4S charger is built to meet increasing needs of supporting power on the move.
The 98Wh E-10 battery will replace the 82Wh E-80 and offers increased capacity in the same compact sized casing, same weight and is even at the same price as its predecessor. This is a result of new cell technology that provides more capacity in the same space.
The E-10 includes the PowerLink feature that allows a second battery to dock on the first providing the double benefits of 196Wh capacity. The E-10 is fully compatible with the IDX Battery Management System (BMS) for continued care and detailed monitoring of battery usage, capacity and more.
The X3-Lite is a revolutionary and long-lasting on-board LED camera light. It offers the equivalent output to a 35W halogen bulb while only drawing a battery-friendly 11W at ‘daylight’ temperature and, as LEDs are tough and last many years, there is no need to carry spares. It includes a built-in dimmer that is flicker and noise free all in a tough lightweight polycarbonate housing.
VL-4S provides four-channel simultaneous quick charging. It charges each battery independently and to the maximum, providing a fast turnaround for multiple high capacity batteries. The moulded polycarbonate casing is rugged, lightweight and built to handle the heavy demands of today’s battery users. This direct V-Mount charger is the first of a new generation of multi-chemistry IDX chargers that have a modern look and can amply support on-location or at-base use.
IDX is also showing its established comprehensive range of high quality power equipment to support location shoots and people working on the move. This comprises Li-ion and NiCd batteries, including NP and BP types, sequential and simultaneous chargers, and power supplies.
The latest lenses from Century Optics are also on display including a brand new range for the Sony HDR-FX1 HDV camcorder.
Century’s Pro DV Series offers quality professional lens accessories to go wider, reach further and move in closer than the lens on the HDV Handycam alone allows.
This range includes a wide angle adapter, a wide angle converter, a tele-converter, fisheye adapters and achromatic diopters.
