EMC SHOWCASES PARTNERSHIP INTEGRATION AT NAB

EMC showcased at NAB several marquis partnerships and product integrations that further enhanced EMC's NAB theme of ‘Where Information Lives.’
Announcements were made regarding Anystream, Artesia Technologies, Convera, e-Media, Keyvia, Sony Broadcast, THOMSON multimedia Broadcast Solutions, Video Network Communications, Virage, and several other companies. EMC also showcased advanced technology demonstrations for media asset management, IP streaming, non-linear editing, digital television and multichannel broadcast.
Doron Kempel, EMC's Vice President and General Manager, Media Solutions Group, said: "As much as rich content is transforming the world of information, the requirements for information management, protection and distribution remain unchanged.
“EMC extends its information storage infrastructure, or EMC E-Infostructure, to the world of rich content and teams with the best content management and distribution providers. This focused strategy enables customers to use a single, open approach to the management and distribution of their rich content. Through EMC technologies and deep technical integration with partners, customers can address the full life cycle of content - from creation of a digital asset through storage, management and distribution of that asset to the edge of the Internet.
Kemple said that these capabilities had never been more crucial: “In the next two years, there will be more information created than in all of human history. More than 90 percent of it will be born digital, from digital videos, audio and images to corporate intelligence of a global enterprise captured in massive databases.”
EMC systems were showcased at the Infolibria, Anystream, Nagravision, Artesia, TecMath, Omnibus, Florical, Seachange, CJDS and DAL booths.
EMC's offerings include flexible managed network storage, file server and media server platforms.
Platforms available include the EMC Symmetrix and EMC CLARiiON Enterprise Storage systems, as well as the EMC Celerra File Server and EMC Celerra Media Server. These platforms operate in an EMC Enterprise Storage Network (ESN), a single infrastructure that provides ease of access to information, regardless of its location or network connectivity type. (SP)
