PACE APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

PACE Micro Technology have announced the appointment of a new Non-Executive Director, Mike McTighe, who is expected to join the board on June 3, 2001.
McTighe is currently Chief Executive Officer, Global Operations of Cable & Wireless where he is leading the company’s move into business-to-business IP and data markets across the US, UK, Europe and Japan. He has wide experience of consumer electronics, telephony and communications industries through work with major global companies
Before joining Cable & Wireless, McTighe was with Philips Electronics, where he became President and Chief Executive of Philips Consumer Communications. In this role he developed Philips into a major player in the consumer telephony business. He has also worked for Motorola, where he became Director of Operations, Asia Pacific Cellular Subscriber Division. His experience also includes work with Siemens, General Electric and Thorn EMI.
