PACE UNVEIL DIGITAL TV ADAPTER

A LOW-COST adapter to deliver digital television into the home has been unveiled by Xcom Communications, part of the Pace Micro Technology Group.
The Digital Television Adapter, known as the DTVA, has been designed to widen the reach of digital TV services in worldwide digital television markets across satellite, cable and terrestrial platforms.
The DTVA can be used to deliver free-to-air or encrypted digital television services into non-payTV homes. It can also be used to deliver digital services to secondary televisions in payTV households. The DTVA’s capabilities, combined with its economic manufacturing costs, mean it could be used to facilitate the switch to digital television in countries where Governments have stated aims to ‘switch-off’ analogue television services.
