Extension solution from Gefen supports latest HDTV interfaces

Gefen has announced the launch of the ex-tend-it HDMI-1000 HD extension solution, which sends high definition video up to 300’ from the source to the HDTV.
Equipped with HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) connectors for compatibility with systems that use HDMI, it can be used with sources and displays that use DVI (digital visual interface) connectors when paired with a small adapter.
Multi-mode LC fibre optic cables, available in varying lengths from Gefen, connect a sender unit at the source to a receiver at the display end. An external power supply, which can be connected at either end, feeds the system.
The HDMI-1000 HD supports multiple HD resolutions up to 1080p (1920x1200 for computers) and is in complete compliance with HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection) standards.
Designed for both consumer and commercial applications, the HDMI-1000 HD can be tailored with custom extension cuts. Gefen also supplies Extender Kits with pre-cut lengths of 60’, 100’, 150’ and 300’.
